He was the world champion so yeah that plays in hollywood, but he has never been one of their darlings. Especially with liberals.

He has been in at least 31 movies, many dozen TV appearances and has a star on the hollywood walk of fame. My reality is apparently different than yours.

Tyson was the Goat. People try to paint him as simple but he's a complex guy and smart in some ways especially considering his upbringing and lack of formal education.
I remember watching him fight Botha in 1999 with my boxing club at university. Botha was doing pretty well for the first 4 rounds and a lot of guys were thinking Tyson might lose. I just finished saying don't write Tyson off yet, with his power he could still end this at any time. About 10 seconds later Botha took a hard right from Mike and it was over. I was still pretty impressed with how well Botha did.
