As mentioned in a previous thread my wife and I have Covid. We are wanting to try Ivermectin but we are not sure if the version one can buy at Ranch and Home (or similar stores) is the correct formulation. A bit of research on the internet says that one should not take Ivermectin designed for horses etc. So it sounds like we need to get a doctor to prescribe the human formulation.
Is that correct?

No, what you read on the internet is incorrect.

It’s all the same stuff, just mixed with a flavoured paste so horses will swallow it. Probably apple flavoured. The important thing is to do your math right. 1Kg = 2.2lbs so if you’re 220 lbs you’d take the 100kg dosage. If your wife is 110 lbs, take half the 100kg dosage. Reason people are getting sick from it is they can’t do simple math.

A friend of mine used the horse version and he simply went by body weight according to what the dosage was for a horse, using his own weight of course. He told me it started helping right away too.

You go by body weight across the board. Seems the intended mg per pound is for whatever.
So you would find the intended mg for your weight and whatever version you use you would shoot for that weight.

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

Having said that, I don’t believe that “they’re all the same.” Ymmv

Thats not the whole problem guys, I think people just get nervous because of all of the lies on the media and they don’t want to OD.
I heard of one big ole country boy that was on deaths door because they wouldn’t treat him with anything. His brother slipped him a 1.87% apple tube and he ate the whole thing. He was better the next day and they kicked him out of the hospital because he went ballistic. He said that he took the whole tube because “Didn’t have anything to lose”
By the way, that picture above is why you gotta pay attention, it says 18.7mg -vs- the common 1.87%

1000mg to 1 gram. That is 1.87%.
You both gotta pay attention.

You both gotta pay attention. You pay attention to the “Plus” part before giving advice. Unless you’re a doctor.

Worked well for me. Never even had a fever. I had a fever and took nothing and recovered fully like over 90 percent of patients, so you do not know that this chemical did anything, oh my wife and son also recovered fully

Dang, I didn't know this was so stinking complicated. Look, just buy the 1% sterile solution. Divide your weight by 100, then take that many cc. For instance if you weigh 200 pounds, take 2cc. It is safe. I was taking it before any of you even heard of it being used and my doctor sent me to Tractor Supply to get it!
