Needed a pack of bacon for bacon wrapped deer and jalapeños.

Holy chit. 1# bacon was $7. That was store brand.

The liquid dish soap union musta went on strike.

None on the shelf at the DG.

No Vienna’s of any brand at the Walmarks.

Don't shop Walmart but our local IGA and Hannaford were pretty bare (and have been) across the board. Few spices, little paper products, low on beef, soups, pasta etc. Frozen and canned vegetables are very low. The booze isle was well stocked so there is that.

Got Brisket and ribs bought up already.
Just waiting on a little cooler weather to do the cook.

I bought 2 cryovac pork loins for $1.10 lb a couple of weeks ago. Cheaper than pork ribs or pork butts. I think pork butts were $1.49 but not sure as I did not buy one. miles

Preppers where my ol lady works are telling everybody to stock up.....kinda defeats the purpose LOL.

Stuff is short supply at grocery store. Can find it OK at satellite places though ( cost more or diff brand ).

Grocery shopping w the little woman.
I prefer to be half drunk when doing that.
Makes it fun

I wish some of you folks lived close by enough so that you could pick up pork butt and raccoon in the rough before it spoils. I could fix you up but the problem is that it can't be scheduled. I don't eat or clean either coon or hog but I don't mind giving it to the aliens living in the land.

Not bad prices, don't blame you for hording. Kroger is running whole briskets for $1.67lb and ribeye for $6 and change. I horded a couple of each Saturday and will go back today for my limit. Hope they still have some left - sale ends today.

went to the local Kroger here the other night - packaged lunch meat section was almost bare. Hoping they just didn't have someone to stock it.
