Picking up one of these at my local dealer tomorrow…Spendy but I didn’t want a base model and wanted a quality reliable machine. Excited to have it as hunting season is upon us and dealers stock out here in Idaho has been almost non existent.
Anyone here drive a Yamaha ATV with good or bad to chime in?

I've owned 4. One, a first year Timberwolf has been abused, flipped, swamped, and neglected since day one - always starts immediately. Only replaced the muffler, a couple sets of handle bars (flipped), tires and batteries.
IMO - ATVs begin and end with Yamaha and when it's time to buy - they're the only brand I think about.

My ‘16 Kodiak 700 is boringly reliable - always starts, runs with no issues. Great machine.

Congrats on the new Kodiak. I'm still on my first one, a 1994 Kodiak,. It is old school reliability, air cooled, foot shift, hi and low range transmission, straight rear axle and full time 4x4. Always maintained, never abused, wrecked, or stored outside. It has averaged about 40 miles a year for deer hunting and occasional yard work. It is a little cold natured, but has never let me down.

I’ve got a 2016 Kodiak 700 EPS, and it’s been a great machine. Zero issues with it. The one major addition I made to mine was adding a Ricochet aluminum skid plate kit. That kit is from front to rear, and is made of 3/16” aluminum playing. It does a great job, and anytime I drag over something I don’t give it a second thought. Take care of your machine and it’ll last a really long time.

Still riding my 03 450 Kodiak. Almost 4,000 miles on it and never a problem. Oil change every 100 hrs or once a yr. Keep air filter clean and use good gas.

The only thing new I ever purchased with 4 wheels was a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO. I tore the schidt out of it for 15 seasons. Bought this Yamaha Kodiak two seasons ago. It has taken a bit to get used to the open racks, starting in "Park" only and the shift lever located on the left side. Not complaining, but muscle memory sometimes gets the best of me. It definitely has power. I added the baja tires, winch and front and rear "plash-lites". Bought it lightly pre-enjoyed! For my style of hunting, I would be greatly hampered/limited without an ATV ya! I had a 1999 Timberwolf 4x4. I bought it about 45 minutes after my first day or "real" job. That thing never failed to start even if it was -15F.
