The inability to get the things that keep even my one-man business working is really frustrating. I can't imagine what is doing to the overall economy.
The REAL economy.

I see what it is costing us. We are spending a lot of time and money sourcing alternate Elec motors and electronic components, cables, power supplys etc, etc On the bright side, business is crazy. All sorts of OT to be had if you are interested.

pay attention the next time you go to the store. There are alot of bare spaces on the shelves. I can usually get everything I need, but never everything I want.
I guess delays are better than not getting it at all.

All part of the chinese economic war fare world wide game.
All goes back to materials, manufacturing, and cheap labor. From buckethead central in one way or the other.

No supplies to build back, either better or not, so everything has slid backwards & still sliding............................there is no short term fix coming.
And Joey is still issuing EO's..........................
When will it end?

I'm in a poor position in 2021 compared to 2020. I'm waiting on parts for everything. In the classic car world, I can't think of a single part that could be as competitively produced as a 1st generation mustang floor pan. Yet I've been waiting for over 2 months for some.
Hot rod parts in general, SBC go fast parts, cams, cylinder heads, headers, intakes etc, out of stock? Got to be kidding me? I hate this year.
Something clever here.

Hell we are taking any truck driver we can get to bring us our loads. Used to be only company owned and operated. It's ridiculous. Got a ton of schit I don't need but can't get the stuff I do need to stock a shelf. Lotta stuff like shoes and cleats and fishing stuff just not available. Tons of cheap Chinese clothes though...

This all started years ago, big corporations as well as small all wanted to cut inventory cost ( made the books look better) Nobody was stocking anything, it was all "just in time" or "I can order it and have it here tomorrow". Nobody was keeping anything on the shelves and when all this stuff hit, it was a perfect storm. What little there was on the shelves was used up and now it will take some time to fill the pipeline again. Add to all that the fact that Biden was paying people a premium to stay at home and not work to fill the pipeline and you see what we have.

I think it was Clinton who declared we are now a service oriented society. Basically saying we are moving away from producing things in this country. Now we are experiencing the consequences of depending on other nations to produce the things we need. Anyone with half a brain could see this was a bad idea. All part of the plan to destroy the United States.

Can't find a steel-cable Warn Zeon 10k or 12k USA-made winch anywhere either. Only Chinese winches at the moment. Supposed to clear some land next to my camp for building a house and shop soon and I'm not looking forward to dealing with all the shortages. At least I have the camp to live in while I ride it out. Glad to move the country, but the timing may require a double dose of patience.
Now with even more aplomb

And I see customers starting to panic, and hoard.
Numerous customers buying over forecast, despite high prices and the attendant inventory carrying cost.
They want a buffer because they too, see what is coming.
I pound on the Sales Managers to manage...but they are sucking the tanks dry, one over-forecast order after another.
If they reported to me, I'd be cutting nuts! Salesmen...can't live with them...can't live without them!

All part of the plan to destroy the United States. My dad mentioned that the other day. Not sure he said Clinton or not. He said it was a deadly move. The country wasn't built on service.

My brother is in the import business, he said the rising costs and bottlenecks in imports started in January and have been progressively worse. Also this administration hasn’t done or said a thing about the bottlenecks.
It has to be part of the administration’s plans to harm the middle class more severely.

Better have a lot of spares. I have a brand new engine in crate, brand new vac packers etc. no guarantees that anything will be in stock any time soon.

I have been crucified numerous times since Jan 2020 for saying the closure of service industries in America would be good in the long run as our economy is far too dependent upon same. But I could not have predicted how the Socialists would stand in the way of a production economy recovery.
