Per your comments soley, likely why some of the other comments are phrased as they were... It's all good... Thanks for explaining more. I see zero negatives with a nut, besides achieving a nutless look when desired. Get set up for it and it's a good thing. And learn what you can from your friend. I'm considering nutting some from blanks just because it's so versatile... It can be done with more than Remingtons too. Best to you.. My no smith 7RM. Shilen DGR action and a Criterion barrel fron NSS. I admit pride in ownership. That's Harley Orange Duracoat.

Not sure I would have picked it on my own, but the total gun setup like that looks nice.

I could dig that DGR. Nicely done... Thanks. Some plans ahead... . I have since gotten a suppressor and am sold on it. I will chop and trim this 26" barrel. (New lathe when I have it and myself ready. If dinking with the contour negatively effects accuracy, lesson learned, buy another 😊). It's light varmint and wayyy long for my tastes in the field with 7" of suppressor... Built for the Hornady 180 ELD-M when it came out, 1in 8. 2920 now I I really don't mind loosing a couple of hundred fps for my personal needs. PTG Obendorf bm, Timney CE two stage, pinned 20 moa rail, pinned recoil lug... Per your comments soley, likely why some of the other comments are phrased as they were... It's all good... Thanks for explaining more. I see zero negatives with a nut, besides achieving a nutless look when desired. Get set up for it and it's a good thing. And learn what you can from your friend. Not sure I would have picked it on my own, but the total gun setup like that looks nice. Anticipated the color for another project that didn't materialize... Time to use it up or toss out. I know a guy that can change it anytime.... That said, I dig it. LOL Thanks.
