Man, I never know what to say in these threads. Dogs are the best people in the world. I am so sorry for your loss. I am looking over at Shadow right now and can imagine the pain I'll suffer the day she passes. Our dogs are our family. Hugs bud.

Man, I never know what to say in these threads. Dogs are the best people in the world. I am so sorry for your loss. I'll say this here. The world has been pretty crazy lately. The riots, the constant attacks on our president and our democracy, covid and a whole host of family matters. If you are like me, our dogs help us maintain our sanity in our sometimes crazy world. I look at my dog, the way she lives one day at a time and the way she'll play with joy at the snap of a finger, and I try to borrow from that spirit. They intuitively know what we are feeling and they seek to bring us comfort and happiness. We are flawed, and they don't care. If only I could be half the person my dog thinks I am, I'd be a much better man. The way I see it, it's no accident that there is GOD in DOG. They are indeed very special friends.
