I’ve used Rem 7 1/2 BR, CCI 450 small magnum, CCI 41, CCI BR 4, CCI 400 (SR), Win SR, Fed 205 and they all worked fine with CFE 223 in a 5.56.

I've been seeing more of this powder on the shelves. Just a heads up for guys on the lookout for this powder. I'm going to give it a whirl in my 6x45. I believe I saw some load data for that powder in that cartridge. I am going to use a CCI 400, as it has never been necessary to use a magnum primer in any of my ar's. Yes the cup is thicker on the magnum primers, but it is not necessary. I've loaded 1,000's with regular ol BR4's as well and that is not a magnum primer. Another heads up is I have been seeing more 69gr sierra matchkings as well, and at their usual price. I believe the CFE 223 powder was $26.xx/pound. That was at my local Wally world.. They also had 22lr, so things are starting to look up. your local Wally World sells primers and powder and bullets?? Luck dog. are We talking the Wally World, in the Dalles, or Hood River? you live in Cascade Locks, don't ya?
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I use CFE in my 30-06 with 150gr bullets just to burn it at the range and have found it to be a great alternative to the 4350s in both speed and accuracy. Wish I could find an 8 pounder about now. George

Mark shubert: In my bolt guns I use the Federal 205 M (Match) primers. Good luck. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy I have had the same good luck with federal Match 205's too; Remington 700 1-9 5R rifling, 24.5 Varget behind 60 gr V-max, sub MOA. I tried CFE 223, shot OK but didn't beat Varget groups, oh well.
