Opinions on the quality of the Cooper center fire repeaters? I have a Jackson Swuirrel Rifle .22 LR that is a tack driver and have come across a Model 54 in .250 Savage in the same configuration other than having a fluted barrel. The price is pretty good and it looks to be in excellent condition

Coopers have a well earned reputation for precision. Friend of mine has several and I watched him put 5 in one hole at 200 yards one day.

I am..........disturbed.

I have had quite a few, and still have 3. All shooters.

If the price is good, I am sure you will be happy,

I have always wanted bolt action 250 Savage. I think a Cooper would be a great rifle.

I have owned model 52's in 30-06 and 25-06 plus a Jackson Squirrel Rifle in .22lr and all were extremely accurate.

I have no doubt it will shoot. I have owned a few and they all were shooters. Still own a JSR and a 17AH.

I used my Model 54 in 250-3000 at the Copper One-shot competition a few years back that was held in Maine. I had no idea what the heck I was doing as I don’t shoot bench rest stuff much so I was the only one with a sporter🥴…..still didn’t end up doing to bad overall. Mine is a shooter and every Cooper I own is also (4 .22s and 3 centerfires). Go for it pacecars you’ll be happy you did!

I have 2 Cooper 54's currently and they will never leave me. My 257 Roberts is the most accurate rifle I have ever owned and the 6mm isnt far behind it. I would be willing to bet that 250 will be as good. No brainer to me.

have had a couple, they SHOOT, the only thing I don't like about bolt action 250's they were all done with very slow twist, I have one that I had done w/1-8 twist (ruger) Douglas barrel, will do three shot touching at 100 yds.
