I played HS football in Texas early 70's , we were 4A which now is 5 or 6A , back in those days you could hardly loose one game and just win District. to win District my Senior yr. we were both 8-0. we lost 3 games in 3 years, Senior year we were 13-1, whipped Odesa Permian in their Dynasty, Played against Earl the Pearl for Simi Game, we beat him to death, 2 half, he had minus 4 yards rushing at same size he played pro ball,he was just slower as a Pro, Hanco is totally right, we, lived like Kings, wined and dined by Collage scouts, girls, and your name in lights, Nothing like Friday night Lights in Texas, we played football the way it was suppose to be played, we tried to kill you every play, and Collage was much more brutal. 12 Seniors and we all played both ways. Those were the Days, Guns in our Truck windows, No Queers, every body loved our State and Country.
