Very handy little trailer.. 15'' tires, 3,500# axle.
You want to be careful moving the axle forward it’s easy to get a trailer that doesn’t tow for [bleep]

With that low of tongue weight, sway can be a killer. It's extra important to keep the load forward of the axle.

I missed this thread when it was posted…agree you should go with tandem.

I probably would have bought a tandem in 2019 when I bought my new buggy and needed a wider one than the 1 year old Holmes 5’ x 10’ I had, but the same dealer gave me a deal I couldn’t refuse with trading it back to them.

I haul quite a bit of firewood through the summer on my Holmes 6’ 4” wide by 10’ long utility trailer. Also my Can Am Defender rides nicely on it.

If you have full solid doors and are looking at a trailer with sides, make sure the doors will clear the side. It's a pain having to get in and out the windows.

I would get the tandem. What possible reason is there for a warranty on a trailer like that?

Like I said before, we also haul our mini excavator on this trailer.

I ended up getting a new 6.5 x 12 with Dovetail
And selling the 16 ft tandem.

Tows my Honda Pioneer just fine with plenty of extra room that I don’t use as I put the cooler and the extra gas tank in the bed of my truck.

The loading ramp was at the point of hurting my neck and back as I have ruptured disc and degenerative disc disease so I made an assist using a 160lb garage door spring opener(on another thread below somewhere) that works great .

Without question, a tandem axle trailer is the way to go.
