If one doesn't have an aversion to 30mm tubes, the Sightron S-Tac 2-10X32 is a nice optic and not overly bulky/heavy. Discontinued too Didn't know that. IMO, worth snagging if you see them on the market somewhere.

If we want to use a scope on a muzzleloader here in ND it has to be 1x and no more. Sightron’s S-1 1x24 is the best 1x I could find, alas, it’s out of production.

All the Sightrons I have are made in Japan.SII 3-9x42 is a fine,all-around scope for the money.SIII 1.5-6x50 is a great low-light woods scope. As already said, they seemed to have started catering to long-range and paper punchers. If I was in the market for something along those lines,I would look at their offerings…

Bring back the Big Sky line and I’ll buy more ^^^this^^^, or even better, an updated version of it with a better reticle. I’ve considered the S-TAC 3-16x42 multiple times, but it just seems a bit heavy for my application.

An older Japan S-II is my go to for a new rifle to see how it shoots working up loads on hard recoiling rifles or checking accuracy issues on an existing scoped rifle. So pleased with the old one that I bought a newer Philippines made identical scope. Never an issue.

IMO, worth snagging if you see them on the market somewhere. Optics Planet closed out the last of them for around $200. I waited too long to snag one. The remaining STACs are heavier and the turrets are really tall. The one change i would make is shorten the windage turret a lot and the elevation a little. IMO the 4-20x50 is a better scope than the 3-16x42.. Both are very tough and tract well but the 3-16 eye box seems less forgiving on max. I would also give a slight edge in optical quality to the 4-20. Both are nearly the same weight. Right around 23.5oz. The 4-20 is just slightly heavier. I would really like to see a 2-10x42 STAC with side focus at around 19oz and the changes to the turrets.

I had a bunch of the 6-24X big sky in 40mm objective. I cleared out 1/2 of my guns and decided to sell them off. Been looking for a replacement. Ebay has one, but it is fine crosshair, not my taste.

My Sightron scopes are boringly dependable on rifles that get beat up by my son, nephew & grandson. If either of them missed a piece of underbrush walking through the woods it would be a first. One 3-9x42 S2 on an ancient Ruger 30-06 deer & elk rifle & a 3-9 rim fire on a 10/22. They hold zero extremely reliably.

I like Sightron scopes a lot and have always been pleased with them but I am more of hunter/varmint shooter and after taking a look at their catalog I don't have any interest in them, it looks like they have gone all in for the long range/tactical crowd.

Another pump for Sightron. Had several over the past two decades, they were good value and durable. I miss the 1.5x6x42 I had a lot. I stopped paying attention to them because no one seemed to carry them anymore. But I'd jump back in for sure.

I love that you're selling Sightron Doug, but only having a single scope "available" is probably gonna handicap things a bit my man. Dave

Doug how do those two spotting scopes look in your eyes when looking through? The rimfire scope has my interest as well.

The Sightron spotters are ok/good. Nothing to get overly excited about, however, at the price point they are superior to the other options priced similarly.
