Hey fellas, which McM Winchester stock would you fellas using on a 7RM and 375HH builds?
Supergrade looks nice but I have zero experience with those Winchester stocks.
Prolly gonna do a #3 or 4 on the 7RM and #5 on the 375HH if that helps.
Thanks!

Hunters Compact EDGE for the 7 and probably a Supergrade for the 375 would be my choice.

If you aren’t in a hurry, I would contact Darcy Echols and see if you can order a Legend from him.

You're link doesn't work ny. Wasn’t a link, if you type mcmillan this site automatically links it; probably from the prior relationship.

You're link doesn't work ny. There's no link you need to contact J Earl Bridges and order it through him it's proprietary through McMillan. If you're interested pass along a cell number and I'll send you photos.

Thanks for the tips fellas!
Is the current production McM SG a copy of the Pre-64 SG or Post-64 SG?

Though I like my MCM compact edge(s)/ model 70 fwts, with what you're planning I'd pick a pair of Echols Legend stocks.

@Handwerk, I hear what you are saying; just waiting for Echols to email back to see if I can still order.
However, beretzs above is still waiting on his so it makes we wonder if Echols is not allowing orders anymore?

I'd give D'Arcy a call, he's very easy to talk to and always helpful.

Two friends and I both had another friend build us 375’s, theirs Pre-64’s and mine a Classic 270 converted.
They both used McMillan Safari (IIRC) stocks whilst mine was a modified Legend that D’Arcy had put threaded rod as crossbolts. All excellent stocks. Mine was modified to slim the forend.
I would give D’Arcy a call and see what he has, he was great to deal with.

I disagree on the suggestion for a Compact Hunter's Edge for the 7mmRM. The fore end on that stock is very slim. Not sure whose #3 or #4 contour you are referring to. I took a factory sporter, chopped it to 20" and stuffed it in the compact edge....there isn't much room for any more barrel contour in my opinion so #4 may be pushing it.
If you can obtain a Legend, go for it. Otherwise, I would recommend the Supergrade pattern for both builds. I built a M70 .264WM with a #2 Pac Nor and a Supergrade edge and think it turned out about perfect.
In case it matters, here are the final weights on two samples I have on hand:
Compact Hunters Edge, 13.25" LOP, 1pc bottom metal inlet, 1/2" Decelerator pad: 22.6oz
Supergrade Edge, 13.50" LOP, 1pc bottom metal inlet, 1" Decelerator pad: 26.9oz
