Does anyone here have a reference that addresses whether Remington used scaled frames for their small bore 11/48's? i.e. are the 28 ga and .410 built on the same frame, and if so is it the same as the 20 gauge frame? Thanks

Going from memory I believe the 28 and 410 are on the same frame and that frame is smaller than the 20.

Those who own them, please post actual receiver height and length of all gauges 12 thru 410. I think many will be surprised. My 1951 16 ga. is 7.9" long measured at the top by 1.3" wide and the receiver height at the front is 2.35" plus or minus.

Doesn't anyone have a 28 or 410 that they can post the dimensions?

Late to the party here. Measured my 11-48s and 12 gauge 878. The 410 and 28 both measure 1.225 wide by 7 7/8 " long. 20 gauge 1.325 wide by 8" long. 16 gauge 1.340 wide by 8" long. 12 gauge 878 is 1.345 wide by 8" long. Dale

I sold my 28 vent rib a couple years ago. Still miss it. I believe it was a scaled smaller than the 20. For sur smaller than my 1100 standard frame 20
