This is supposed to roll out next month. Supposedly it's a 4x4 beefed up Tacoma. It's nicknamed the Tacozilla now but that likely won't be the final name. The Chinook had dual wheels and was made for the highway. I don't know if it was ever made with 4x4. This one will be smaller and suitable for offroad. TACOZILLA

Interesting.
I was intrigued by the Chevy Blazer Chalet, back in the '80s.

Interesting concept, but the way Toyota is turning out turds for the masses of late, I expect its actual performance will disappoint anyone who wants more out of it than for it to be a status symbol.

If Biden's 30 by 30 agenda ever gets going, they'll be closing off many public lands so offroading will be minimized. This could become a campground item.

^^^^^^ That’s pretty cool. Especially if you live outside of the USA, and could get a good Diesel engine

Interesting.
I was intrigued by the Chevy Blazer Chalet, back in the '80s. A friend mentioned these the other day. There's one, maybe 2 rotting down at out local small airport. I googled them. 1977, & GM sold 1800 of them. The Japs copying something else. Different times, they might be a success this time around.

Quite likely...and they'll sell all they can make. But not to me.

Toyota turned out something like this back 40 years ago or so, you needed a lot of patience if you got behind one, never seen one do more than about 50 downhill. Still see one puttering about every once in a while.

It’s a pretty cool concept and would be great for remote backwoods weekend hunting but for what they’ll likely cost, the limited space, plus gas mileage, giving up a truck bed, plus RV sight fees if it’s parked at one, and not being a DD it’s not practical IMO. For what it will cost you could spend a whole lot of nights in hotels, rented cabins, or buy a little piece of land.
