It appears, as it did in CA, that the Republican challenger, in this case Youngkin, is gaining traction and the race is now a dead heat.

Any predictions from The Fire as to who will come out on top.

Well there are a lot of "Fools" in Northern Virginia and the Democrat's will get them to the polls. With Northern Virginia, Richmond City and the Norfolk/Hampton Roads the rest of the state is at a disadvantage. We will see, and I have my fingers crossed, but it is an uphill battle in this state in recent history.

VCDL did an alert the other day...

Action items: Dominion Energy’s treachery towards Virginia’s gun owners!

Gun-controllers are scared to death that gun owners will cause Terry McAuliffe to lose the election in November. For that reason, gun-grabbers desperately want to suppress the gun owner vote and that is why WE MUST ALL VOTE, VOTE EARLY, AND VOTE IN PERSON!

Apparently in concert with the McAuliffe campaign, Dominion Energy is using so called dark money to suppress gun owner turnout! NO, I’M NOT KIDDING.

Dominion Energy has given $200,000 to the Accountability Virginia PAC (AVP), run by a liberal consulting group with ties to ActBlue (a Democratic fundraiser) that came into existence only in July. The Accountability Virginia PAC has spent tens of thousands of dollars running ads in conservative parts of the state to make gun owners question voting for Glen Youngkin.

Here is a sample of what AVP is putting out:

“Glen Youngkin refuses to tell us where he stands on guns. That’s why he is the ONLY Republican not endorsed by the NRA. We can’t trust him on guns. Tell him to tell us the truth about where he stands!”

First, we all know where Terry McAuliffe stands on our gun rights – he wants a semi-automatic rifle ban, magazine limitations, homemade gun ban, prohibitions on open carry, and much, much, more. See: https://terrymcauliffe.com/issues/gun-violence-prevention/

On the other hand, Glen Youngkin has shown zero support for any of McAuliffe’s draconean anti-gun measures. Yes, it is very frustrating that Youngkin has not returned his VCDL survey – he needs to return it if he wants to be considered for endorsement by VCDL-PAC.

But the real treachery here is by Dominion Energy for providing money used to put out phony “pro-gun” ads aimed at suppressing the vote of gun owners for Glen Youngkin.

It makes no difference who votes for who if the democrats are allowed to cheat while counting. We will never see an honest election again!

Think about that... a MONOPOLY public utility company (NO ALTERNATIVE to electrical power) spending MY MONEY to sway an election.

...and nothing can be done about it.

Crazy crazy times.

Lately there has been a noticeable shift in the tone of the local news. That in itself is remarkable. I’m hopeful but realistic. Even some Democrats are resisting the direction we’re headed. Fingers crossed.

Couple things,

This is from the linked article above.

“There’s going to be panic. There’s going to be consternation. But what I would tell donors and operatives is, ‘You should be worried, so pay attention and put resources into this,’” said Tim Lim, a longtime Democratic strategist. The same thing happened in California. Once Democrats started paying attention and keyed into it, the numbers shifted. The same can happen in Virginia.”

This sounds like a directive for the “cheaters” to step up their game, increase their default number of fraudulent votes, mail-in ballots etc. not a call to arms to get people to get out and vote, but to increase the Fraudulent Resources, same thing they did in CA when Elder became a real threat.

Totall agree with the above. I'm a lifelong long Virginian. Sickening what has happened to this state. Praying that Republicans can pull it off but I'm very very doubtful.

As has proved true time and again around the country when the dems know how many votes they need in a close election they know exactly where and how to get them. Voter laws, ethics, mail in, signatures, ballot harvesting. Nothing is off the table for the liberal dems and they will let nothing stop them. I hope I'm wrong but I will not be surprised to see McAuliffe win by just enough.

In spite of the fact that nearly 90% of Va, is red Northern Va, Tidewater, Richmond, & Charlottesville, have controlled the state in recent elections and without a dramatic change in those areas I'm afraid we are in for more of the same. 163bc

As for Virginia presidential elections,

Virginia voted Red from 1976 through 2004.

It wasn’t till Obama showed up and turned the state Blue. VA has been Blue ever since.

IMO you don’t just switch gears like this, common sense says that an occasional shift to blue and back to Red, maybe, but a complete shift like this just isn’t normal.

IMO 2008 was the start of the massive election fraud in VA and across the nation.

Obama got 52.6% in 2008 and 51.2% in 2012

Trump got 44.4% in 2016 and 44.0% in 2020 while Biden captured a whopping 54.1% in 2020.
Nobody actually believes that do they, I mean really.

Does VA use Dominion, if so, when we’re they installed.

Fairfax is already trying to steal the election by suspending some absentee ballot rules. Va has a constitutional provision that says that's unlawful so its being challenged in court.

Youngkin will win......With the race tied or Youngkin up by 3% in polling indicates a loss for the Dems. The "MAMA BEARS" ARE PISSED.

If polls show it as even, we have:

Youngkin actually up by 3-5% minimum.

McScum will win by 3-5%

This pretty much sums it up.
