Wow! It must be pretty common. My P01 is unshootable past a few mags full, due to trigger slap pain. You have to wonder how they let them out of the factory with that issue.

I have the Compact 75.

I did a full CGW pro upgrade. Bought the parts and did the project. It was a very straight forward upgrade. The trigger is amazing. Reach was shortened by 7mm. It’s now just right without feeling like I’m reaching out to find it. Reset is short and crisp. The pistol was OK prior to the upgrade. Function and feel is pretty amazing now. Buttery smooth.

That's close to half the cost of the pistol, parts alone.

Makes for a premium rig, that's for sure.

It wasn't cheap but it is a satisfying pistol to shoot. I could have replaced a few parts and probably come close I bought the big kit to make sure.

What do you think the most critical parts were.

Would be interested in high-value, cost effective improvements, as my pistol trigger "snobbery" starts and ends w/ my S/A 1911-A1.

Everything else pretty much just goes Bang.

I think lightening and shortening the trigger pull would be at the top of the list. My glove size is medium/large. The original trigger pull was way too long. Shortened by 7 mm. Totally changed the feel.

CGW sells several variations. They are top notch on service and are very supportive of owners who want to do their own modifications. I’d suggest giving them a call. They will talk you through what you need for what you’re wanting from the pistol.
