I found that most of the time I prefer the company of a good dog to people as an unspoken rule. So I have invested a lot of the last four years into a hunting relationship with a handsome English setter - CPT Jac Slash. He's the one who is always by my side:

Well the CPT, Jac or Stinker as he is sometimes know, served as a stud several weeks back with a darling full masked setter named Cassie who sports the sweetest disposition:

The standard stud fees are the pick of the litter from out of two great hunting dogs with super dispositions who might very well throw a darling litter of joy!

Savages? Yes, I still have more than I'll ever hunt and I thoroughly enjoy those 250s and 300s that remain. But I'm not gonna play someones else's games. My grandfather taught me that sometimes no answer is the correct answer to a question. I stand by my silence.

Cheers!

Hearing good things about your book Rory!! A thread I was enjoying on the Gunwriters' Forum went south when some troll started in with name calling and diverting a fun conversation on the 257 Roberts and the 7x57.

If it stops being fun I'll start an art collection of peregrine falcon statues before I engage in that foolery. I'm getting to old to play those games anymore. All good!

Just passing through and I don’t know shinola about classic Savages other than I’m interested in anything classic.

I do know those are some fine looking setters and I have a soft spot for good bird dogs and guns. Good Bird dogs, guns and a fireplace this time of year is heaven on earth .Thanks

Thanks on the book. So far no bad reviews on it, hoping it's useful to the folks who buy it.

More puppies..

The urge to want to fix labels was sometimes overwhelming in the Savage Arms lobby...

this brings back some awesome memories, had a setter that won a fairly big contest in Coffeeville, Ks. n 1969, 115 entree's, we won in sudden death.

I don't know, I just love my Lap Dogs. If you lay on the floor, within 10 seconds, Breezy will be sitting on you.

She don't hunt but she is great with the kids. I cannot imagine not having 1 or 2 dogs around. We need to get a second one, another lab I think.

I miss some of the pointers I had, lost interest when Buster died, hunted him for 14 years, killed many quail with him. He was worth any 3 other dogs I had.
