I’d like it better as a hardtop but that’s a sweet truck!

That special? Not to me.

But they are a neat unit. The 69-72 K5's & gen 1 Broncos, & Scout II's lead the pack in great off road units other than CJ's for the 70's.

Don't forget about the Toyota FJ's

I owned a 72 Bronco in the late 1980's, I used to brag the turning radius was so good it would turn around in it's own tracks Ha Ha !

My grandfather had a 72 Chevy pickup that color. Factory paint, 350 auto, air, the works. Like friggin new!!! He decided he’d sell it for $3500. I told him I’d take it. He wouldn’t sell it to me because it was old and might tear up. He put it at the road with a for sale sign. Didn’t get back in the house before someone stopped and bought it. I’m still sick!

Yep. But for $68K, I’d spend that on a new Ford Bronco. 🤠

I had a 1974 GMC Jimmy. The model that you could remove the hardtop and it became a convertible.
It was a great hunting rig !

Yes. I’ve got a 79 FJ restored out in the back shop. Trailering up for a trip down near Milwaukee for some custom engine work on it next week. Getting ready for MOAB next summer.

Only thing missing is some Oregon pinstriping. Brush would eat that fat ol' girl here.

OK, hate to throw this poor pic on y'all again, but I wheeled this in the 70's & there wasn't another brand that could touch it at the time. The tires & motor was the key, not the brand.

Driver had a role too. whistle

I had one like that, same 1970 model year: canary yellow body and white hardtop. 31 10.50's on some white mag wheels I bought from Pep Boys. I put a Hurst shifter handle on the 3 speed and one of those surfing dude barefoot metal pads on the accelerator as well as biddy one on the dimmer switch on the floor. Sears AM radio, with built in speaker, slid right into the radio slot. Thing was badazz.

Sold it to my kid brother who paid me more than what it was worth.

I'd rather have a Unimog... https://www.ebay.com/itm/144284435552

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

I’ve been rebuilding my 1984 K5. Once I got the engine replaced and a got it running well o drove it to a car cruise to watch. Had a guy stop the whole cruise so he could ask if I’d sell it. My son swears he’s going to drive it to school.

What was the mark in 70? $3k?

I’m sure that $3k would be around, or north of, what that blazer goes for if it was put in a regular ol’ index fund.

Isn't there a removable hard top that would bolt right on there? Seems to me that was an option as it was on gen 1 Broncos and Jeeps.

I had a 70 Chev Pickemup same color with a 400 and Turbo 400 Trany.Went you stomped on it that big four barrel sounded like a toilet flushing. You could watch the gas gauge go down.It had a 411 rear end and I could pull anything with that baby.
