What I mean is a heavily constructed bullet is less likely to frag meat wherever it hits.

I have 90 grain Accubonds loaded for that 243, I didn't have the nerve to try the 87 Vmax.

I like most here shoot several different guns and check zero every year. Many only gets shot a couple times a year and rarely comes out of safe. Always reminds me why I like each particular rifle

Lol, I have the same brake. Nobody around me likes the crack of the APA, but if they shoot my rifle they always ask where the recoil is.

I fire a cold barrel shot from a rest at a 200 yard target about once a week. Stuff happens and it's good to catch it before missing a shot or worse wounding something that gets away.

When I go to Colorado on my annual elk pilgrimage, I’ll check zero on my .300 Weatherby at the local range just for grins and ring some steel at 300 and 400 yards. Maybe 500 if I’m feeling froggy. I keep two separate boxes of ammo. One is hunting loads in new brass and the other is identical loads in previously fired brass. The hunting box has 3 empties from previous 3 hunts, so I guess I’m good to go for a while. Practice box needs a few more loads, but I have plenty of RL26 of the same lot to replenish it. Just a little short on 168 gr TTSX. I haven’t touched a dial on the scope since I switched powders.
