To look for gold. Everyone knows there is lots of gold out in the desert and all one has to do is go out there with a sack and pick it up. Of course it is awfully hot out there but no matter, the gold makes it worthwhile to go.

LOL. I saw a TV show once where Gold Hunters in AZ had big metal detectors mounted to the front of their 4-wheelers for driving through the desert to search for gold.

This product is not available in the USA. ACR Electronics strongly believes that RLS technology is a benefit to the worldwide search and rescue system. ACR encourages your support in facilitating the approval of RLS in the USA by contacting the United States Coast Guard* and NOAA** (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) for the latest information on RLS approval in the country.
Is that old info?
Coast Guard and NOAA onboard?

This metal is 1/4" thick & was riveted together onsite...
First August T/storm took it out pretty fast..

Reminds me of another desert dam. Concrete, about 2 feet thick and 10-12 feet high. All it did was slow down the water. Rocks around it were too leaky.
a discussion at the dinner table last nightl a young guy we all know assigned as a deputy working out of the dysart division, which is edge of phoenix on the north west sidel this includes over to aquila some distance away, ain't a ten minute ridel which explains the 8ft chainlink around some of the storesl agricultural area lots of illegals and stash spotsl there is no immediate lawl i have found any number of stashspots littered with beer cans and cacal I have also crested a ridge to fin 30 or so illegals switching vehiclesls
Aguila...my relatives have to go through it once a week to go to Wickenburg for the weekly grocery run. Speed limit may be 45 or something...they roll through no less than 75 mph for safety reasons. No eye contact, foot down firmly. You see Border Patrol everywhere else, but never in Aguila.
Aguila isn't close to the border, there's not a border patrol presence in general that far north anywhere.
Kent
not true kent, i have ran into b.p. on 95 up to kingman, and from quartzsite up to parker. one of the main funnel points is from tonopah up to aquila following the dry washl sheriff found a couple hundred of them in the river bottom across from what is called flat iron, a place people like to go to shoot. I have a half dozen packpacks i found at one encampment just north of there, and similar by aquila.

I know BP is called sometimes up there and other places, coming from Yuma and Lukeville there is a funnel up there, including Congress, Prescott, up to I40.
I was responding that there is no permanent BP presence 130 miles north of the border. Driving the 60 from Wickenburg to Salome isn't a big deal.
tikkanut; Good afternoon sir, I hope the weekend has been a good one for you all.
Thanks for the photos you put up, while I don't always comment I do always appreciate and very much enjoy them. If this world ever settles down, the desert of Utah is on my bucket list to see.
Regarding the kielbassa and sauerkraut, my initial thought was "Зачекай, Зачекай".... or phonetically zachekay, zachekay....
Although we're of Teutonic origin, enough neighbors were Ukrainian that I became quite familiar/addicted to their fine, fine cooking.
