One ancestor George Thumlinson died at the Alamo when he was 22, one of the immortal 32 who were the only ones to reinforce the Alamo after getting Travis's letter for help. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immortal_32

None of my ancestors were passengers, but my great great great great great great great great grandfather was the diesel mechanic... he kept the CAT 3208 purring like a kitten the whole trip.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

He had his work cut out for him.

Probably needed a few spares to make that trip.

Some distant relations that share a common ancestor, from my relatives report on the Mayflower. How accurate is it? Who knows?

Edward Fuller is a 1st Cousin 14 times removed
Francis Cooke is a 1st Cousin 14 times removed
John Tilley is a 2nd Cousin 12 times removed
Elizabeth Tilley is a 3rd Cousin 11 times removed
Richard More is a 5th Cousin 10 times removed

Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.

There is a slight chance we might be related. If I recall the genelogy from my great aunt showed she was related to a Mr. Warren who came over on the Mayflower. Her ancestry was traced by a news paper in Santa Cruz as she was married to an MD and was a member of the local high society. This was done way before the internet so I am not sure how accurate the research was. As an aside I have the .44 American Bulldog revolver that the Doctor carried in his medical bag.
