Yeah, just bought two new 22.5 lo pro Michelin steers for only $1,440 out the door! Just amazing how much better it is getting!

Glad you are doing well.
Buying top shelf!
You get them balanced or use a gadget?

Seeing Jim's post I was wondering what the going rate was for new tires.
I guess the days of new all around at $2500 are long gone?😉
Probably can't get Chineese tires to work for that today.
Last job they used to buy that crap.
Sidewalls darn near as stiff as a skid steer tire.
But they were great for our use. The outfit also towed, and had a garage.
Put new tires on our stuff, pull them with about 1/3 tread left.
Sell them to some poor bastard needing a tire, $$$$!
Cha-ching!

Tires are funny....you actually get what you pay for, for the most part. These Michelin’s (beads) give us about 150 to 180K miles, plus the casing is worth $50 to $80 bucks on top of that. I’ve never been able to get over 100K out of any other steer.

I’ve gotten good service out of Chines drives, but the rolling resistance.... like pulling a parachute....

I’m getting 250K plus out of Michelin drives, good rolling resistance, and 8 tires are only a little over $4,300...... like a colleague once told me, this trucking thing is not for the timid....

I have a buddy that is a cattle hauler. He has three cattle trailers and used to run a bunch of miles.

He is also very frugal. VERY.

So, I was a surprise to me one day when he said that they never, ever run caps. Never.

He said you might get them for a little less, but they never give the same wear. Not even half sometimes. Plus they fail frequently.

Sometimes trying to save a little money is very expensive.

Not to mention all the other crap from this Administration.

Sheesh

I know what you mean. I paid $2.89 a gallon the other day. Must be almost 10 cents a gallon more than it was 2 years ago at this time.

Try $1.30 more a gallon than a year ago. Put your head back into your bag of dicks.

You mean back when they were shutting down oil wells all over the world because it was dropping below $11 a barrel? In 2020, the US had the greatest reduction in oil production in US History because no one was traveling due to the pandemic and Russia decided to get in an oil price war with OPEC. You mean back then? Of course, now you have oil companies who would rather just raise the price of gas then open back up the oil wells they shut down. We are still not up to pre-pandemic oil production.

If you kids are lumping me in with the Bidenites, you need to warm up your IQ a little. I voted for Trump twice, as he was the last man standing after the primaries and in both cases was orders of magnitude better than either totalitarian candidate, whether Hitlery or No Joe. But I will still hold my water when it comes to Trump 2024. If another good option comes out of the woodwork, a real fire-in-the-belly freedom fighter, an actual grown-up American who understands the system is broken and needs further shaking out, I will vote in the primaries for that candidate. Emphasize "grown up," please. Left with no other option, I will vote for Trump in the general 2024.
There is no way in Hades I'd vote to affirm an "establishment" GOP name like Romney or Cheney in a primary. And they, like all "establishment" Republicans, are so bad, it would be a bitter choice to vote for them in the general. They have proven to be utter failures at clawing back what the Democrats are trying to take away. Neither Bush was worth a rat's @$$ either, except in comparison to who they "beat."

If there's a better option than Trump, and I hope there will be, that's my vote.

Read my lips:

Lets

Go

Brandon.

About what would happen to a load of live largemouth, except quicker, and smellier?

It didn’t take TOO many times where my going blissfully down the road on the way to a nice check was interrupted by a blowout before I figured out that this recap thing was not for guys pulling live critters.

2 am roadside calls get pricey.....
