Those scales are thick for that little knife. He'll have to really slim them down....

Here’s a pic Rick texted when I ordered mine, the yellow and middle blade are what folks refer to as the “12 bore”, the one on the right is the “16 bore”. Hope this helps. My next order will be the middle one, maybe call it the “28 bore “?

Copy that. He wanted a pic of the material. If it’ll work ill run it, if not I won’t ruin it, I’ll just do another build, as I’m a sentimental fuucker, and I appreciate the scales/love ..

It'll work. He'll just have to thin it way down....... He could damn near rip one side in half on a bandsaw and have 2 splits thick enuff for both sides.

I’ll post a recent pic tomorrow, the butterscotch micarta darkened up quite a bit, actually like it. Either Rick or Rocky said it would, like it more aged actually. 👍

Rocky made me a couple a few years back with butterscotch.

Turned to a chocolate color.

Rick was kind enough to modify one for me to give as a present to my best friend.
I think it may be the best example of a one-and-done hunting knife I've seen.
I think Rick calls it his small dumpling or small boner or something like that.
We call it the "humpin' dumplin'" because my friend humps it up the hills after mountain game.

Thanks, my friend is in love with them. He totally gets off on the "Proto" mark like on Don's 12 above. It is pretty cool!
I'm going to get Rick to make me up a set for myself when I get settled after season.
