Just put on a Tommy Hogg double pin on my V3. First SH for me, but always been a fan of vertical pin sights...

This SOB is loud and sounds like a tuning fork unless you set the vertical adjustment about midship. Rechecked and all screws, etc are snug. I had a set of new string dampners that I pulled out of my pull off, stock strings that I attached to the pin housing behind the MRT ring in hopes that it would take some of the buzz out. No joy...

Anybody else had the issue and found a way to remedy it?

I run a Fast Eddie XL and don't get any noise from it.

Sounds like something is loose in there somewhere.

Did you check the MRT ring or whatever it's called?..the ring on the sight housing. I could see that making noise as it's somewhat loose till it's snugged down.

I can usually use the palm of my hand to thump the riser and figure out where the noise is coming from.

Good luck!

Yeap....everything is tight.

Used the palm of my hand on the riser like you say and can’t pin down a specific area that’s making noise. There are a handful of threads on Archery Talk about it which all had the same cure. Send it in to Spot Hogg and let them rebuild it...
