So, my neighbors don’t deign to restrain their dogs to their own property; the dogs are becoming increasingly aggressive. My county does not have animal control and it’s getting to the point that I have to start taking action. (I have my own dog that has hip displasia , but he still tries to chase them off) I’d rather not kill the dogs. So, after that long introduction, is there anything special that I need to know about loading rock salt?

Steel and salt??

What could go wrong?

A dose of #7 1/2s or 8s at 50 yards will be effective.

If they are aggressive a dirt nap is in order. Especially if aggressive on your property.

No sheriff?

Yeah, I'd call the local county mounty.

Myself, I'd rather kill a dog than hurt it.

Mebbe a Red Ryder?

I am..........disturbed.

Concerning the difference between man and the jackass: some observers hold that there isn't any. But this wrongs the jackass. -Twain

Or this.

Cats are one thing................ I've no problem doing ANY cat, ANY way. But I've had to shoot dogs in self-defense twice. And, even though it was them or me (and the Mrs, the one time) it's just not something that feels natural.

If your local Roscoe won't address the issue.........maybe a few well placed stings will do the trick. Just don't shoot yer eye out.

if you aren't comfortable killing the animal get some spray. a snoot full of that will make them stay away. repeat on owners if necessary.

the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded. Robert E Lee

If they’re aggressive toward people on my property, they would dissappear.
