Early life
Haley was born Nimrata Nikki Randhawa to immigrant Indian Punjabi Sikh parents at Bamberg County Hospital in Bamberg, South Carolina. Her father, Ajit Singh Randhawa, and her mother, Raj Kaur Randhawa, immigrated to the United States from Amritsar District, Punjab, India. Her father was formerly a professor at Punjab Agricultural University, and her mother received her law degree from the University of Delhi. Haley was known under her middle name, a Punjabi name, from her earliest years.

Haley's parents moved to Canada after her father received a scholarship offer from the University of British Columbia. When her father received his PhD in 1969, he moved his family to South Carolina, after accepting a position as a professor at Voorhees College, a historically black institution.

Her mother, Raj Randhawa, earned a master's degree in education and taught for seven years in the Bamberg public schools. In 1976 she started a popular clothing boutique, Exotica International. It closed in 2008.

Haley has one sister and two brothers. Her sister, Simran, born in Canada, became a radio host and Fashion Institute of Technology alumna.

Thank you, we feel the same way about her ... and she did it AFTER she promised she wouldn't do it when she was campaigning. But that's not the only thing that got her run out of town.

BTW, Michigan people and South Carolina people are almost exactly alike with different accents.

I actually got to meet Tulsi when my wife and I were living over there a few years ago. My wife was there on business because of the train/railroad ... we were over there for a little over two years off and on, it was miserable when Obama would come to town and shut down H1 ... but anyways, Tulsi and I were on the same float basically, for the Veteran's Day Parade. Then that night we were at the same luau ... my wife's office was formerly Edward Snowden's old office in the Garden Plaza .... long story short. So Tulsi was really interested in how the railroad was coming along and the fact that my wife was in Snowden's old office and the fact that I am an old SOCOM guy so we actually talked for awhile ... she was a nice lady. Very outgoing and attractive in person. Kinda rough complexion but a big smile. Very ... what's the word ... she had sort of a distinguished air about her, which is very unusual for a woman imho. She wasn't the least bit pretentious. She has a quality about her that rose (sp?) above her bullshite marxist socialist politics at the time.

I type all of this because I kinda get the feeling that's she had a change of heart about the democrats. Now, you gotta remember that Oahu and especially Honolulu is blue .... she has to play the game but I think maybe she's not as far left as she used to be after they turned on her.

She is able to 'switch on' her charisma at some level - despite your opposition to her stance on the 2A. I had the same experience when I met ex-Speaker Jim Wright - charisma-at-will. It's a trait that the majority of politicians have at their disposal. Having been exposed to that, I despise politicians even more, now.

She is not legally eligible to run. She is not a Natural Born Citizen. "Both" parents have to have been "US Citizens" at the time of Nikki's birth (They were not), and Nikki had to have been born on US soil to acquire "Natural Born Citizenship.

The word you were looking for, actually three, is "commanding a presence" when they speak. Highly inteligent people with great oratory skills can command a huge presence when they educate / discuss a topic, and "prove" they know what they are talking about. Being able to "command a presence" is respected.

Charisma is the art BSrs use to brainwash you into believing they are smart, and know of what they speak when they aren't either (Typical politician w/ zero real world experience).

You can't acquire "Natural Born Citizenship" from Immigrant parents, and in order to run for POTUS, the Constitution specifically states the candidate has to be a Natural Born Citizen".

Most people today will simply REFUSE to believe that. They want to think that a "Natural Born Citizen" can mean damn near anything....except what it really means. Born in America to foreign parents? Good enough. Born in another country to at least one American parent? Good enough.

Boggles my mind the things that "conservatives" believe these days.
