Ya had me with the first set of pics! The only prayer I'll offer up is that you mention me in your will, or offer me first dibs....

I think the T-C Contender G2 action is ugly as homegrown sin. BUT (Mike's big butt) they shoot like crazy and you can put together a "set" of arms on one action that will pretty well cover any firearm you might really need (never seen a pocket-sized Contender yet, but I expect somebody has made one....).

So I have a couple of G2 actions and a BUNCH of barrels. I try to make the woodwork beautiful so that onlookers won't look at the actions, kinda like my first squad leader in ROTC said: "Spit shine those shoes so the brass can see themselves in 'em and they won't even look anywhere else!"). Worked like magic.

Gnoaah, who ISN'T a High Wall slut????

Mesa, I have nothing but G1 Contenders. They don't shoot worth a crap. They are ugly too.

Now THAT'S what I call downright edible woodwork! DEELICIOUS! Doesn't make the rifle shoot crooked.either....

Sorry.
You never saw the fiberglass stock on my 308.
Hurriedly done with grey Bondi and green tiger hair.
Painted flat black.

Then I decided to do it right.
Tore it down sanded the paint off where it showed bad glass work,
got busy and had to use it like that. For about 16 years.
Brown fiberglass, grey Bondi, green tiger hair, flat black.

It was a Beaut'!
Ugliest thing around.

Kinda wish I hadn't finally put a nice textured black finish on it.
Was more eye catching than most nice rifles!😁
