actually yes......gives you a dust/debris free area to launch & land

Camera & prop motors are rather sensitive

Crazy thing.....will land the exact same spot when to tell it to 'RTH' (return to home) GPS is amazing

You get half mile out & get low battery warning gets a bit nerve wracking

Crash it the location shown...its history

Camera alone is worth the $700 investment

I see you're using a landing mat. At first I didn't think I needed one until I had to blow a bunch of dust out of the gimbal. I find them very useful to locate where to land. The RTH isn't accurate enough to put it down on the mat by itself.

If there was such a place here, the tweekers would use it to back up to and throw their tires, mattresses, and bags of garbage over the bank. Then they'd abandon a motorhome and a stolen Toyota after they lit
them on fire. A week later someone would come back to strip the wire out of them.

Not joking.

Here's what I have the DJI Min 2

Link shows the best deal out there....this pkg was not in stock when I bought it

Bought extra batteries & charger separately along with the 2 yr 'care warranty'

Drone is packed full of technology that will amaze you...camera takes great pics & vid's !

My biggest issue is having to use my cheater glasses to fly using my IPhone 12 to navigate it

I also have the DJI Mini 2. Before you buy one, you need a phone that's compatible with the app that controls it. Go to Google Play and find the app DJI FLY. Download and install it. If you can do that, your phone is compatible. DJI has a list of compatible phones on their website but it's very incomplete. It'll work on lots of Iphones but their list of Androids is small. If you have an old phone that works but it's not connected to any service, it can still work if it'll connect to wifi to download the app. You don't need service to connect via wifi, only if you want mobile data. Once FLY is installed, the drone runs from that, not from phone service.
My wife and I both had Motorolas (not on their list) that were almost identical but different models. FLY would load on mine but not on hers. Here's their list of compatible phones: PHONES

My son has been playing with these things several years now. I always felt they were kinda cool, but expensive playthings. Then when he was here to visit we went fishing and he got aerial video footage of my 12 yo grandson landing a big redfish, all the time keeping it away from a dolphin trying to get it… that’s worth something.

Yes, they are cool, but good ones are expensive. The Walmart versions won't fly much beyond 100 yards and their cameras are pretty poor. A decent one will start at about $500 and they go way up from there. They have software that we almost take from granted today but developing it cost them some money.

most recently we had a couple 50*+ days.....

all the valley snow is gone...even here where the pics are @ 6100'

Hopefully the storms come back & give the high desert another good dump

Recent storms dropped as much as 8" snow across this area

Thanks Tikka. Camped there many years ago. One if the most beautiful p!aces in the state. When we went there, it was mid summer and driving a 1960 Willys Jeep with a bikini top no doors. A long hot dusty ride from Hanksville to the mountains. Wonderful time. On top, you could see all of Utah and northern Arizona.

Thanks for the pics!
