It's a toss up between apple and pecan pie for me.

Have never had a gooseberry pie, but a good friend always raved about his grandmother's gooseberry pies. Apparently the recipe died with her and no one else in the family could make it like she did. Someday I need to try gooseberry pie. I generally like most any pie if it's made right.

My feelings exactly. My grandmother was a farm wife and taught my mother and aunt well. They are all wonderful bakers and masters of pies with their flakey lard crusts. Pecan, apple, peach, mince meat.....it's hard for me to pick a favorite. I fear that in the next few generations this will be an art that will be all but lost. Hope I'm wrong.

Start me off with a blackberry pie.

I like them all

A pie that I really like is Mince Pie but I can't seem to find any in the stores any more in West Ar,Memphis Tn or North Mississippi area.
If anybody has any leads where I can find them in those areas I sure would appreciate it.

Lots of great choices. Rhubarb and mincemeat are probably my top two.

I love that picture Bob!

I've looked for Gabby Hayes doing the same.

Yep, peach cobbler is far more common in Texas than peach pie, but I'm up for whichever's within reach.

That's a tasty looking pie in the pic. Apple?
