Watch for the Sauer 100 on sale. I've picked up a few fir under $500, a Creedmoor and a prc. I've not shot mine yet but my friends is shooting well under 1 moa. Once my ss 3-9s are replaced I'll get them on the rifles and to the range.

X-bolt HCS for a little more than your $900. I like Howa a lot but the Browning is slicker than snot and lightweight that has very little recoil. Will be getting another.

This the barrel is full length from bolt face to the end of the brake 27.5" . Picked up one slightly used the other day for 995 which included the warne rail, 30mm vortex rings with a 4x16x50 vortex viper with bdc and turrets. Shoots nice...mb

You can certainly find a more accurate rifle somewhere, but you'd be hard pressed to, especially at that price point.

I have fooled around with eight 6.5 Creedmoors since 2010, ranging from $250 to $3500 in retail price. The two most accurate have been Ruger American Predators.

I would say a Vanguard (Howa) or if you want it a little lighter for a few more bucks, a Tikka Superlight would both be excellent shooters. Been around a couple of each and 1/2-5/8” guns.

Recently bought a Vanguard S2 Select for $669 Canuck. I don't know what they retail for in the US but it must be considerably less because everything is.

Only put one box of Hornady ELD-M 120gr match through it so far, but 3 shot groups were routinely a bit below 1" at 100 yards. And I think it could do better with someone else shooting it. We're talking hood of my pickup with a bipod and the butt resting on a folded soft case....and Mr Shaky over here yanking on the trigger.

The rifles solid.

May try a blued Tikka just to see how well I like the feel and shooting it in 6.5 CM as well...but my sample size of 1 puts me in league with the fellows saying the Vanguard will get you there. I have no doubt that it can shoot considerably under 1 MOA,

Just bought a Vanguard 6.5 and it’ll do way under sub MOA easily with Hornady 129 factory loads. One thing, you really need to check and make sure that the bedding screws are torqued to 35 in/lbs. Mine were way under-torqued from the factory. I despise non free floated barrels and Tupperware stocks, but this rifle is pretty amazing out of the box. My spouse reminded me tonight that I’m a pro at fixing things that aren’t broken. I’m really fighting the urge to restock this rifle. Your mileage may vary, but I’m pretty impressed with this Weatherby Vanguard.

Its pretty easy to find an accurate 6.5CM for under $900. I just sold one and this is what the buyer sent me the other day, after he took it to the range for the first time:

"Hi Lawrence
I have a question. Why did you sell such an accurate gun? lol
Thanks Again
Jim"

I told him that's why I never shoot 3 shot groups.. ha ha.
