Interesting...

Yes, I reckon.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

It can grow on hornbeam and beach as well according to what I’ve read, we have neither here. I harvest in the spring before the snow is gone, easy to find it while circling lake shores on the snow go. A touch of honey in the cup adds greatly to it. Some prefer a touch. Of vanilla.

Thank you for all that have participated!

Here is the answer in link. With the type I showed, it’s found on old birch trees. I found the jackpot in an old birch stand in the middle of a cedar swamp the other day. This stuff is hard to find!

Khans grandmother on her dads side made tea or mixed it with coffee.
No one else would drink it, too much white man in their blood.

Cut it off the tree, carefully and it will grow back. Dry and break it up then I send it thru a small hand coffee grinder and place in tea bags. For those that don’t know when raw it has a bit of an earthy taste, not unpleasant.
You must not boil it or get near that temp or you kill many of the good properties within it.
Chaga.
