Noticed one in a parking lot today... don't hear much about them, not much discussion on here, seems like it's all about the Big Three and Toyotas. I had a little Nissan pickup, an '84, bought new, drove it 6 years, gave to my younger son who drove it a year or two, then sold it when he went in the Navy to a kid who drove it at least a few more years. It was a helluva good truck for a little 2wd. What's the Campfire consensus (ha ha ha) of opinion on the Nissan Titan? Anybody have one? Thoughts?

I checked them out recently when I bought a new truck. I just couldn’t make myself like them. I didn’t feel like the interior options were on par with other names. But everyone I know that drives them or has driven them says nothing but good things about them. I think they are pretty decent trucks.

They were good in the day.. Not so good today, not since owned by Renault.

I just drove one out to Arkansas and back. I’m not an import guy, but I admit that I liked it a lot. It had the Cummings diesel in it and was loaded inside of everything you can imagine.

The gas models and the sister SUV Nissan Armada get the worst fuel mileage of any passenger vehicle on the road.
Rented one for a hunt I did a while back. Nice vehicle, but thirsty.

I have the little brother Frontier. Bought it new in 2013 and have had good luck with it. Been thinking about a new one but limited supply has the prices sky high still. Think I'll give it another year and see what reviews they new rig gets and wait for supply to catch up.

After what they did to Carlos Ghosn, I won't give Nissan a dime...even though the Titan with the Cummns is a pretty sweet truck.

Holy crap I had some experience with a diesel Titan as a shop truck at a welding service I worked for. It was a gigantic POS. The midsize Frontier is a solid rig even if they don’t get great mileage. My dad has one with a gazillion miles that’s still solid. An uncle has one just like dad’s that’s been great. And another uncle has probably put a couple million miles on different Frontiers over the last two decades with no major failures.

I have been driving Nissan Frontiers for 30 years. Just a great vehicle! I bet the Titan is just as good.

The only thing I know about Titans is, a buddy of mine bought one new and babied it for a few years, and the rear end went out on it.
He got it fixed, sold it, and bought a new F-150

I own a 2017 Nissan Titan XD SV crew cab 4 door model with the 5.0L Cummins diesel. Like the truck but nothing but little crap problems over four plus years of driving it. It sports 42,000 miles on the odometer so far. I paid cash and got a great deal. It is very comfortable and lots of creature comfort. But, damn little stinking problems since the day I drove it off the lot. Had it go into limp mode once pulling a 19’ RV. Not fun. Limp mode did not last more than 10 minutes. If I had to do it once again I would buy another truck with a big gas engine. And.....not a Nissan Titan. We have named our Titan the “Titanic”. If it screws up again I am going to drive the hell out of it and attempt to blow the damn thing up. All I can say is good luck and be an informed consumer. MTG

Nice trucks, lots of room. I had an 06, it gave me cat problems though.
As far as gas mileage goes, I think the tundra is just as bad maybe worse.

Every full sized gas truck owner complains about mileage. Lol.
My buddy didn't want to drive his Ram to Wyoming hunting because of the schit mileage.
Tundra scrapped the V8, maybe they heard the complaints.
Ram scrapped the hemi for 2023...

Ram scrapped the hemi for 2023... I think it from goverment milage mandats ,. I heard Toyota was doing the V-6 and twin turbo's .That to me is just more expensive problems and parts waiting to happen ,would preffer they kept the non-turbo V-8.with the bad gas milage ,but you pay one way or the other .I have a 2004 Tundra
