About the cleanest I've ever seen...I just need to re-scope it with a nice old straight tube Weaver...

Very clean indeed.
Do you collect them or hunt with them?

HUNT. I got out of the collectible business a while back. I do buy collectibles from time to time (just sold a NIB Python), but if I don't shoot them I sell.

Very nice Jorge. I found one a while back and didn't know much about them. It looked just like your new rifle. The little local shop had it priced at $600. I went home to ask this forum about it and everyone said I should buy it, but when I went back, it was gone!!! I later found out that $600 was a steal for that rifle and they were extremely rare. The stupid thing is I already have a 94 big bore 375 and handload for it. I should have just bought it when I had a chance..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

The Marlin would cycle longer loads, plus the scope mounting was a little nicer, maybe. But they have both gone down the road. But you can just get JES to work magic on a regular old 30-30 Marlin if you really want one.

My 375 is my second favorite Marlin. Paid $350 for it and 2 1/2 boxes of ammo, about 12 years ago. Man I wish I reloaded, as I I almost hate pulling the trigger anymore. It's a sweet deer rifle in my neck of the woods though! Enjoy it!

Very nice rifle. It is definitely on my want list, but it calls for a peep sight.

Nice snag. I love mine as I've stated before. I do own sever of both Makes, Winchester and Marlin. I couldn't pick one over the other, as I've taken a lot of game, with my Marlin, as it was a gift from my Wife yrs. ago, and I had it Personally Engraved, and I'll Die with it!
Congrats and Good Luck!

As for the 375 Winchester, I load my own. I have three Marlin 375s, a Winchester 94 BigBore in 375 and a Ruiger No. 3 in 375. So reloading makes sense. Like other straight wall cartridges, the 375 Win. is very easy to reload. T.S.

BTW gents, some pretty decent results using the recommended 230gr CEB Raptors @ 2020 fps. That should handle just about anything..

That's a beauty.
I still kick myself to this day for passing on one at a gun show several years back. It's still the only one I've ever seen firsthand.

That is a very clean nice looking Marlin for sure. Congrats on your find
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

That is a nice looking rifle. I have a marlin and a winnie, have a weaver 1-3 on the marlin and a peep sight on the winchester. Have not used either in awhile. I have only used the sierra 200 grain and the hornady 220. The 200 worked perfectly on the only deer I shot with it, Good luck with your's. Karl

Bought one of these new back in 1980, wish I still had it. Was a hammer on deer and pretty accurate to boot.
