I have some of the same in my dad's old tackle box out in the garage. Do I see a couple jitter bugs in there?

Every run around or ride your bicycle in the fog behind the mosquito truck? All the time as a kid! They ran it around the military base. I see that some people are suing over it. Claim cancers and such. I’ve had no problems.

Yep, 2 of them. The green and yellow is a killer with a slow retrieve and a pop now and then.

I remember the first plastic shotgun shells. For years we shot Peters 16 ga #2 paper roll crimps from a case my dad bought on a big sale. They were amazingly deadly.

Trading stamps, which almost all stores and gas stations gave out, one for every $.10 of your purchase. They were pasted into books, then the books traded for merchandise at special stores run by the stamp companies.
S&H Green Stamps were most popular, followed by Top Value, Plaid, and King Korn. My grandmother collected Green Stamps and every few years traded them in for toasters, irons, etc. To their credit, S&H at least kept the stores open long after retailers stopped giving stamps. I also remember the filling stations giving out drinking glasses and place mats with a fill up. One each time, you had to keep coming back to collect the sets.

Telephone party lines. We shared with one of Mom's friends who always was tryig to listen in on our calls.
Powdered milk - to make the budget stretch some.
A bread drawer in the kitchen, with a lid to pull closed, where all the bread crusts stayed until there was enough for stuffing.
Boiling hot dogs and soft-bioled eggs in the sap while making maple syrup, that we gathered in buckets.

Gas was between 25 and 30 cents when I started driving (legally). Draw yer own conclusions how long ago that was. early 70's or so in SoCal. $0.19 a gallon during gas wars between stations on opposite corners.

Listening to the World Serious on the radio in study hall. Listening on a Rocket radio, crystal set with a wire and an alligator clip to connect to a metal pipe for reception. I definitely remember those. Red if I remember correctly 😊 My recollection also.

Gadabout Gaddis, The Flying Fisherman. I loved watching his TV show on Saturday evening when I was a kid.

All I know is I had ADHD before it was a diagnosis.
And somewhere around this joint I have the K-3 grade report cards to prove it.
