What the hell is that?

Just as said, a mini version of an evaporative cooler. Held in place by the window being rolled up to clamp it in place, Put some water in it and as you drove down the road a wind actuated fan in the front blew across a wet screen and sent cool air into the car. Kind of a hassle so we only used one when on longer trips in the heat of summer before A/C was common.

Playing war ball in the gym and hitting the nerd kids in the head -face so hard it'd knock them down and out. Helmet to helmet contact and intentionally spearing someone.

Went to college at WV Tech, my last semester was $318, 16 hours, anything over 13 hours was considered full time, one set rate for full time and a rate for part time.

.gov got involved and it’s all went to hell.

So did it make yourself feel better, being a bully? Would you do the same today, looking back?

How about a steel gas can where you can screw the lid off, fill whatever up, and screw the lid back on without taking a gasoline bath.

That goes for a lot more than education too.

After I grew strong enough to pull start the mower I filled many tanks from steel gas cans.

At the time yes, and of course I regret a lot of the stupid things that I did. Football was football back then and I got taken out by a helmet to the knee, still have the limp 50 years later.

Yes it was, football was fun then. My knees are paying a price for being a “bully” or maybe playing the game for what it was…..

At the top rated private engineering university i attended, tuition was $1,800 per semester. Starting pay for a graduate was $8,400 per year.

No problem with student debt then.

Of course, the government was not involved.

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

National Anthem and American flag on TV at the end of the days' transmission. I believe it was midnight.

Shoveling coal into the coal bin
Before that, digging coal in the family mine and carrying it out in gunny s

Using a coal shovel to slide in the snow.

Using corn cobs to start a fire in the coal furnace.

Kick starting the gas engine on the washing machine.

Putting new soles and heels on shoes with a shoe lathe. I still have one with three different sizes

Victrola record playing machines, and plastic coated paper records. Still got them.

Black Lung, Polio, Iron Lungs.

Cap Guns

Using Punkin balls in shotguns for deer in single shot shotguns.

Sitting around the radio on Saturday night before owning a B&W TV
Plastic sheet you put on the T V to make it colored. Blue on top, brown in the middle, green on the bottom.Worked great on westerns

Small metal cars and trucks that you got in and pedaled.

Every flat surface in the kitchen covered with home made bread waiting to rise once a week.

Boys had to do dishes as punishment for a week

Making ham salad out of bologna, pickles and mayonnaise using a hand cranked grinder. That and the home made bread was our school lunches for the week.

Five buckle arctics over shoes boots.
