Every country store would make you a bologna or lunch meat sandwich. Gallon jars of pickled Penrose wieners and pickled pig feet on every counter. Filling stations would pump your gas, wash your windshield, check the oil and air in the tires. And give you free road maps.
Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.
Democrats would burn this country to the ground, if they could rule over the ashes.

I remember,, Manners, respect, drinking ice tea out of 1# folgers coffee cans, quart jars for adults pint jars for kids, sitting in the yard with papaw after we mowed, sitting around the picnic table after granny fixed lunch for the hay crew, straw under the fingernails while handling sqaure bales, the tv getting turned off at dinner time, going outside so granmaw could have her half hour of prayer after lunch, I remember the 1st in house air conditiioner i ever seen, the 1st black person i ever seen, i was 16 an we followed him around walmart like hounds,,, carrying guns on the school bus, keeping them in our locker(till senior yr when we had to leave em in our truck or principles office, lots of things,,

The first US stamps I recall were 3 cents.. Remember the 2 cent stamps for post cards? Yes... The 3-centers above were for actual mail using envelops...

The smell of a freshly shot paper shotgun shell. Freshly shot was best, but even months later, you could still smell one and remember the pheasant that you shot with it.
