Complete package $2000.00

RCBS dies with shell holder - Like new
50 once fired brass I purchased from another shooter
20 once fired brass that have been reloaded in Dakota plastic slip top case
19 unfired brass loaded but never fired in Dakota plastic slip top case
Load data noted on label on plastic cases

Loaded ammo sold as components. I will pull the bullets if you want

Has roughly 20 rounds down the tube. Sighted it in and shot several elk.
Pre 64 Win Model 70 action Serial 469xxx stamped 458 on the bottom of receiver
Original rifle was 264 Win Mag. The original barrel will be included with the package
Brown Precision stock, blind magazine, 26" sightless barrel, matte finish
All gunsmithing done by Roy Bedeaux (Albuquerque - now retired). Built in late 1993.
very accurate rifle with 200 grain to 275 grain bullets
Leupold Mark 4 scope bases with 8x40 screws. no scope rings included.
Very little wear on bluing or pebble finish black painted stock

Original receipt from Bedeaux and original Dakota load data for all Dakota calibers.
Max load for 200 grain bullets is 80 gr. IMR 4350 - I loaded 72 grains

If you are looking for an elk, moose, bear, goat or plains game rifle, this package is turnkey at less than the cost of the rifle parts and components.

Reason for selling. Probably have done my last elk hunt and my children will not be handloaders. Brass is available but 89 brass will last a long time.
I am not aware of any loaded ammo being sold today after Dakota ceased operations. I have many custom rifles built by Roy Bedeaux and all shoot well beyond
my ability. PM for more information if desired.

I love my 330 Dakota..250 gr. swift a frame

Shot moose, sheep, Brown bear, elk with mine..

Power of a 375 and shoots as flat as a 7mm.

It was Don Allens favorite caliber. I spoke to him before I bought mine.. he shot a Cape Buffalo with a 230gr fail safe.

Good luck with you sale!!

Do you know if Mr Bedeaux did action rail work to get the Dakota case to feed properly?

the original donor was a 264 mag stamped "458" on the bottom of the receiver. I never asked roy how he did his work, but it feeds fine as does a 284 win he built for me on a Heym intermediate action. roy was familiar with Dakota cartridges and I have every confidence he verified that the rifle was ready for the field before it was delivered to me. I am no expert, but it does look like the rails have been slightly modified compared to my 280 which is on a standard pre 64 m70 action but i do not know if the short mag actions all had this difference

i did shoot three shots once on an elk hunt and the spent cases ejected and the cartidges fed fine from the magazine. it is a two shot magazine but you could change it from blind magazine to drop box blackburn bow release magazine to get either 3 or 4 rounds in the magazine.

Roy Bedeaux Converted a pre-64 to 30-338 for me back about 89. Gun turned out very well and was more accurate than I could shoot most times. Seemed like a very fine gunsmith and a gentleman. Sounds like you have a very nice rifle. Good luck with your sale.

Most of us on this forum have witnessed the evolution of rifles and optics to a level which far exceeds our abilities and vision. Me for sure. I am a few years away from post and cross hair i am afraid

thanks. i am just the caretaker. I hope the next caretaker will have the same experiences i did with the rifle. it bore a Leupold 6x42 FX also dated 1993 but that moved to the 280 that Roy created for me in 1992 for my first sheep hunt.

slightly over 7.5lbs with the 26" bbl although the blind magazine reduces the weight a little

that is without a scope and rings. it has the Leupold Mark 4 bases with 8x40 screws. probably overkill, but the bases are the best there is in my opinion
