No. The V4s are made in Japan while the V6 scopes are made in Germany. As to Meopta, they never "made" any scopes for Zeiss but did assemble the original Conquest line.

Actually, Meopta made MOST of the original Conquests--all except the erector tubes and lenses, which were made by one of the Zeiss factories in Germany. I got this directly from Zeiss. The parts were assembled in the U.S., not the Czech Republic, as were some other "European" scopes back then, to avoid the import tax.

Zeiss has been out-sourcing some products since around 1990, when they had inexpensive binoculars they called "Diafuns" made in Hungary. They sucked, so didn't last long.

That's correct, and also why I said Meopta didn't technically make the scopes. They assembled them. The lenses, reticles and erector tubes were Zeiss products (maybe we can say "co-produced" LOL). Either way, the end-results benefited consumers, but that particular relationship and business arrangement has long ago dissolved.

No, I didn't. This is what I replied: "The V4s are made in Japan while the V6 scopes are made in Germany." I did not mention any line other than Conquest.
