Can you blame Canadians for not trusting banks that can steal your money at the order of a little tyrant? During the Great Depression, millions of people withdrew everything they could all at once due to mistrust, and it crashed the system. Only the ones that got there first were able to get any decent amount out before everything shut down. This sure smells a bit like the same type rush on cash.

A run on the banks could be interesting, at some point Castro has to go before chit really gets bad. He could stop it right now by retracting his statement about freezing people's funds. What did that really stupid, ignorant, non-financial background POS (along with his female Minister of Finance) really think that people would do when threatened as he's threatened?
