Met a guy named Richard Head.
His dad told him that's what he was going to be called anyway, so he might as well make it official.

One name I'll never forget... One of my aunts at the time was a 1st-grade teacher in a kinda bad part of Chicago (this was circa '58-60). One of the little black girl's name was Vomitice!

Seriously...

Oh, and when I was in one of the Navy schools in San Diego, we actually had a "Santa Claus".. Santa Michael Claus was from someplace in TX., and nearly every week at roll call one of the POs would demand to see his ID card..

Seriously..

Tanya Yeribich: local attorney

Dick Pole: MLB pitcher/coach

Summer Breez: girl I knew in college

Knew a cop named Officer. People would demand his name and he’d say “Officer”. They’d get pissed.

Perry (dad), Mary (mom), and their kids Barry, Terry, Larry, Cherri, Kari, and Gary. I think they were Mormon.

I named my oldest Son Rhett Brick (last name, old southern name we are ... think GWTW)

So, Rhett Brick (last name)

Rhett from GWTW of course, Brick from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

He didn't like it when he was a kid because people were always pronouncing it Red Brick ... but now he loves it. Loved it all through college. Told more than a few race baiting [bleep] to [bleep] off and pound sand.

There was a family with the last name of Head where I grew up. Rocker .. given name Rodrick .. was in my class. His middle initial was G. He wouldn't tell us what stood for so it became "Gives." His uncle was Richard ... and it was Richard, not Dick. smile

I had a coworker with the last name of “Head”. I used to tell all the new guys his name was Richard.
