With the unpredictable reloading component availability we face these days, I recently picked up some of this powder with less than clear plans for how I might use it. I see it’s reported burn rate is in between 748 and 760 (and slower than IMR4064 but faster than IMR4350). It appears it works well with 150s in 30-06 and acceptably with 165s. Anyone have any experience with it 270, 270wsm, 35Whelen, 223 or 22-250? Any favorite loads? Although I don’t see a lot of data, it should have a broad range of uses. Anything unusual about the way it increases pressure?

I use it in 270 with 110 TSX. It is accurate and easy to shoot, meters beautifully. I don't know the speed.
We all know advertising works, we just don’t think it works on US!

It should work well in the 270 and 22-250, but it probably won't be a good option for the other chamberings you listed.
My only experience with it is in the 7-08 with 120s and 140s. Velocity was great, unfortunately the gun I had chambered in 7-08 like moderate velocity loads. I have yet to try it in my 7-08AI as I am having really good success with Varget and Staball right now and I don't want to waste the components finding a new load when I have 3 that work really well and a good supply of components to keep me shooting those.

Anything unusual about the way it increases pressure? Playing with quickload, in the .270 Win it looks a lot like Imr-4895. It would be faster than I'd like in the .270 WSM. Looks good in the 22-250:

AS, thanks for the data. I had a hunch 225s in the Whelen might hit the sweet spot. Looks promising in the 22-250. I know it would be useable in the 270, but unlikely to hit the sweet spot like H4831.

Big Game is the only powder that I have had out-perform “good-ole” H-380 in any of my four 22-250s. Also found it was phenomenal in a 8X57 Yugo Mauser that I have with 175 grain Sierra PH bullets. I just recently tried it my 250 Savage bolt action. Will be switching to it for my 87 grain Sierras in that rifle. Velocity AND accuracy is superb in all three calibers mentioned.

A few comments:
Despite what QuickLoad says about Big Game in the .270 Winchester, the burn rate is not like IMR4895 (TAC's burn rate is far closer). Instead Big Game is closer to Win 760/ H414, a little faster than H4350 or IMR4350.
I keep a running list of the powder/bullet weight combos I use for handloading all our rifles, and the most recent update found I use more Big Game for the primary load in our various rifles than any other powder. These include the 7mm-08, 7x57, .308, .30-06, 8x57, .358 Norma Magnum and 9.3x62, but the list has included various others in the past, including varmint-weight bullets in the .243 Winchester. I like it partly because of accuracy/velocity, but also because it burns very cleanly, and so far has proven to be very temperature-resistant in every load I've tested that in, pretty much like Hodgdon Extremes.

I almost asked if you were kidding around After reading of Pharmsellers numerous family exploits with Tikka 7mm08's and Ramshot Big Game I new he was kidding right off. I think he would put RS Big Game on his cereal if he wasn't having so much fun harvesting big game animals with it haha. Good luck and shoot straight y'all

Best thing ever for the Mighty -08, bullet weights from 120 to 150 grains. I use a magnum primer.
