Got to see the actual document when they briefly had it on display at the Alamo. Wish I could remember where I read the article which stated this letter was rated in the top 10 historical documents ever written.

I did remember the date, but I was gonna post about it, but it slipped my mind.
We all need to remember. These men had to realize at some point that no help was coming. Each of them knew that to stay was to sacrifice their lives, but they decided to die rather than submit to tyranny. Great men.
