For me, it's the 4" K-frame, either in .22LR (M18) or the .357 M-19s. Any of those K-frames with target sights and a 4" barrel will do, although I draw the line at the stainless guns (and I have a 617). I just think the blued guns are better looking, even with holster wear and hard use (they show character!).

Tough call.

I think a blued 4" K frame S&W with adjustable sights and magna grips is damned hard to top.

Other contenders would be the SS 5.5" barreled super blackhawk, N frame with either 4" or 5" barrel, 4" Security Six, 1851 navy ..

Model 19 is pretty hard to beat for classic good looks.

Kinda like Annette Benning. There's fancier looking, but not classically better looking.

I find the lack of Colts disturbing... They did invent the thing after all.

Not much else really close IMO.

MM

Have to agree with this sentiment, but make mine a “Classic” N frame. 5 or 6.5”.

The 5’s aren’t easy to find, but man are they sweeeet

GunGeek, well here's another Colt.

Thanks again for the referral on Mike Heffron. Got the 2021 Python back a week and a half ago. Trigger job, action job. recrowned barrel, accuracy tune.

I like the Colt Python & Diamondback for first place.

Second place goes to early S&W 586's, either nickel or blue. Classy.

In the Traditional category, I have to go with the Colt Peacemaker.

Hard to argue with that Barry.
I’d swap out the 586 for a 5” barreled S&W Model 27 or 29 though.
Be hard for me too choose which looks better, between the Colt SAA or the DiamondBack. Guess if really pressed, I’d have to choose the SAA / Peacemaker, though. 🤠

For myself, an early K frame S&W, then the early Colt double actions. Made back when quality meant something.
