I know I’m late to the party here on Ramshot TAC and have just recently picked some up to play with. What works for you & what cartridges seem to really respond to it? I did quite a lot of searching the topic but many threads are older and I couldn’t dig up anything current as TAC might compare to newer powders. Anyhow, pretty pumped to play around with my 308 in light of this new opportunity.
Cheers all.

I've only used it in 223 55 to 62 gr and .308 125 & 150 gr. But there are many other applications.

I use it primarily in 5.56 loads with 69-77gr bullets. 23.6-23.8gr in a PMC case, Wolf primer, and 77gr SMK's is a pretty good combination.

I been using TAC some time now in my 308 Model 70 with Barnes TTSX 130 gr pushing them hard. Best deer bullet have found. Can reach out to 300 yards an only drops about 3.5” if zeroed 2.5” at 100 yards… bout as flat as a 270 and packing as much foot lbs. Very accurate and hard to catch one in a whitetail and when you do will be perfect mushroom.

358 Win and 338 Federal. Haven't got far yet with the 358 Win, but 180 and 200 grain bullets in the 338 Federal are doing very well accuracy-wise with TAC so far. Haven't chrono'd either yet. My club range is at 10k' elevation, so it's difficult to get range time that works with my schedule until consistently warmer weather. Looking forward to developing loads for both this summer.

223 with 75 gr, 35 Rem with 200 gr, and 358 Win with 200 gr so far. I want to use up other powders I have before expanding my use of TAC.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

It’s great in .358 Win for 225’s. RL7 for 200’s on down.

I've used TAC in .223 with 50-grain varmint bullets with very good results. Also used it in the 6.5 Grendel and it showed good potential but I abandoned the 6.5 G before I had it nailed down to my satisfaction. I think TAC is an excellent performer.

It’s great in .358 Win for 225’s. RL7 for 200’s on down. My .358 Shoots very well (and fast) with TAC and 200 grain bullets, and I note an earlier poster had good luck with 180s and TAC.

What kind of primers are you guys using with TAC in the 358 Win? I tried it but it seemed inconsistent.
Thanks, Dale
