On the second, you're right. It's not OUR war. It's the neocon / globalist / DC MIC war.

The problem as I see it is that if we are actively shipping in military equipment to one side and putting economic sanctions on the other we could rightly be seen as making war by the side adversely affected.
If they are put in a desperate situation as was Japan they may very well pull a "Japan" on us.
Russians have a history of resorting to desperate measures in warfare.

I fail to see what is our big beef with Russia in this dispute. Why is Ukraine so important to the USA?
