That's beyond outrageous. I'm glad I bought a few boxes of the new Winchester turkey load a couple of years ago, I guess. P.S. Did you "round up for the NRA"???

I never, EVER pay for that "Premium" Turkey Ammo crap. For years, I killed turkey after turkey with no more than simple "Hi-Velocity" #8's!
In 2019, I had shoulder replacement surgery. No more heavy artillery. No 3"/3.5" "mangle'em ammo"! Friend gave me a little Mossberg, bolt action .410. Because I "WANT" to kill at least 1 bird with it, I bought some of those Federal 3" turkey loads with #9 tungsten shot. Six bucks a round!
My "other" turkey fighting weapon is a 1932 model Remington "Sportsman" in 16 gauge. The barrel got a round trip to Briley choke tubes in Houston. 😃! That 16gauge with a 1 oz load of #8's is a turkey slayer!

You gotta keep an eye on ol' Larry.
I've been ordering stuff from him for over 15 years but he can be spendy.
He has Fiocchi 223 FMJ 50 count box for $42.49, Rodgers has it for $27.
He has Federal Premium 9mm for $37, Rodgers has the same chit for $18.
I still buy from Midway but only if they have something I can't find elsewhere.
Spent a bunch of money on ammo this year and most of it came from Rodgers. Have two more orders on the brown truck right now...
Got some from Natchez as well.

Midsouth aint much better on TSS loads either. That TSS aint cheap anywhere actually.
Surprised vista is even making it in Remington brand loads.

However I killed them graveyard dead with a 2.75” 12 ga, mod choke, 1 3/8 ounces of 5 or 6 shot. I don’t see the need for titanium ported and extended extra full choke tubes with 3” or 3.5” shells with multiple sizes of buffered tungsten shot. That’s lots of unneeded cost.

I shoot Winchester Longbeards in both my 12 and 20. That's as good a shell as anybody needs, and it won't break the bank.

Years ago, when my schitty state finally started turkey sessons, I worked up a load that got me an average for five shots at forty yards of twenty hits in the head/neck area. Old 1 1/4 oz Rem wad, W29924, and 1 1/4 oz of Lawrence Magnum grade 7 1/2. I think it was about .......of Herco. Book load for 1980. It is now seven for seven, all inside 40. Don't need no steenkin gold plated shot.

Any shell that will kill a squirrel will kill a turkeys head. I have killed turkeys with a 20 guage squirrel hunting when we had a fall season. With 2 3/4 field loads. No problem. They aren't magical just shoot the head.

I'm sold on the shot pattern density TSS gives. It turns a 20 gauge into a very decent 40 yard gun with the fraction of the recoil of a 12 gauge 3.5" 20 gauge Winchester Double XX #5 at 40 yard on a 12 inch circle Same gun, same choke, same distance using Federal TSS #9 TSS is expensive, but no one shoots a lot of it.
