My Sporting clays buddy mentioned that he has a Pigeon grade Winchester 23 out of his dad’s collection that he would be interested in selling. It is probably bored modified and full, but I don’t know that for sure. Mike is a Perazzi guy and he has never shot this Winchester. It would probably be a nice pheasant gun. He says he wants $2,500. for it, so I said that I’d put it on the shotgun section for him. If anyone is interested, you can PM me and I can put you in contact with one another.

That is way steep, IMO&E...
Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.

I think that’s a steal, even if it is in 12 gauge and has short barrels.

I've not seen it, but being a "Pigeon" I suspect that it is nicely wooded and engraved. Mike is a stickler for nice stuff and that Perazzi of his has a 5K piece of adjustable stock on it and he won't even put it in the carrier or let anyone touch it when we go shooting. The guy sold off 60 guns before he moved to Florida and just the fact that this one didn't get sold when he moved, says to me that it must be pretty nice if a guy wants a classic double barrel.

Easy enough to check. I'm back in WI. now, but I'll text him and ask. He could take it's picture too. I'll get some particulars on barrel length and chokes.

I did get the scoop on that M23 yesterday in a phone call. It does have 28" barrels bored modified and full with a single trigger, rib and nice engraving. It did come with a leather bound Winchester case with a brass Winchester plate. Mike sent me some pictures that show it to be in great shape. He bought it back around 2005 and has never fired it. The gun is in central Florida.
