Maybe it's just me, but it seems that when I have multiples of the exact same model scope, some are clearer than others.
I've never seen anyone do a review where they take 20 or so of the same scope and view them all side by side to see if they all appear the same.
Thoughts?

I have multiple Nightforce SHV’s and NXS’s. Haven’t noticed anything remarkably different between them.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I still have a bunch of seasoned Leupold 3x on different rifles, but mostly the ones no longer used much. The Razor HD LHT is the current favorite but I only have 3 mounted.

And to your question... the older Leupies are of a number of vintages and that makes a difference.
Not so much with newer stuff of the same "generation."

Only a couple multiples same around here. A couple of older Leupold 3.5-10x 40mm , VX something or other. Both purchased new; first one in 1995 and the other 5 or 6 years later. Never noticed any difference between the two. Along with two of the little 2.5x 20mm Leupold's. First one dates to 1987, other one was new circa 2001. Only noticeable difference is that they have different reticles.

I have 2 Burris Signature HD 3-15x44 Plex scopes both have been excellent. Good enough that I have another on the way.

I have at least seven of the 6x MQ, four of the Athlon Helos 2-14 mil/mil.
I'm a simple man. When I find something that works, I order up a bunch of those.

I have pair of twin meopta meopros 4x12x50s.....both with #4 reticle......
Same happened with a pair of zeiss terra 3x9x42s....plex reticles....
Nikon monarchs in 2.5x10x42....one a BDC the other a mildot.....
In each instance the second offerings were substantially cheaper than the first.

I'd probably have two Nikon Monarch 4-16x's if they still made them. Got the one I have lightly used from a guy I know and I really like it.

Maybe you should try cleaning them…..
I’m shocked at times by the amount of grunge that accumulates on the objectives of scopes stored upright, even when covered with a sock.

At least a half dozen Weaver 2-7X rimfire scopes and they seem the same.

There's multiples here of several identical Sightron models. No optical or mechanical differences between them. The multiple Weaver Classic 'V' 4-16's were also identical. The Weaver Classic 'V' 6-24's varied from excellent optics to very average. Identical model Leupolds were all over the place optically. That changed for the better (more consistency) with the Multi-Coat 4 lenses and the Vari-X III's. With one striking exception, I'll hold my tongue on the Burris stuff....... Good shootin' -Al
