Ice isn’t even out of the lakes here yet. I envy those of you already catching fish.

I took out the yak and the 8 weight last Sunday in Southwest Florida. Matlacha Pass to be specific. I landed three snook 14, 20 and 30 inches. 30 incher made the mistake of running away from the mangroves instead of back in. He towed me far enough away from them I got good control of him before he turned back in. Otherwise would have been a train wreck in that yak with a 9 ft rod. Had the yak loaded up and was going this morning but the wind predictions changed my plans.

Life can be rough on us dreamers.
